The craftsmen at Bentley have lovingly restored a former red London bus, in bespoke leather and all the trimmings, for use as a mobile charity shop…
The bus belongs to a UK arm of St Luke’s hospice after it was donated to the organisation earlier this year. They then approached Bentley Motors for help in its restoration.
The project took 59 Bentley staffers 2 000 hours to complete. While this team managed to retain many of the original fixtures, Luke (as the bus is named) has been endowed with signature Bentley finishes.
Hand-stitched leather and bespoke work surfaces are seen throughout, allowing the bus to cater to its many roles as a travelling shop and awareness centre.
